Last night Sony showcased all of what we’re supposed to look forward to in the coming months for the PlayStation brand, and they truly had a solid conference. However, while there were some great items showcased, such as Uncharted 3, the PS Vita, and more, I felt like as the conference started to wrap up last night, some things were missing, or left out...

·        Where was David Jaffe to talk about how cool Twisted Metal is looking?
·        Where was anyone from Rockstar to talk about either Agent?
·        There has been much There has been much rumor-mill chat about Grand Theft Auto V breaking at E3, where was that? How long will Rockstar make us wait until the next version of their magnum opus?
·        Team ICO had a brief mention with the Ico & Shadow of The Colossus remasters, but where was The Last Guardian?
·        Where was the exclusive blockbuster that people were all supposed to stand up and say OH MY GOD SONY WINS!?

Wii 2: It only does everything... and more besides

A few hours later, as Jack Tretton offered his sincere apologies to gamers everywhere, a murmur had begun to spread amongst the amassed hordes.
And tonight in the City Of Angels, on the tipsy streets of Sunset and amongst the dour drunkards of Downtown, it's practically a virus. E3 is alive with the sound of Nintendo. And how its latest innovation is to do everything. No, seriously. Everything.
What do you want the fabled Wii 2 controller to do? You might want a big fat touch screen, like an iPad-sized beast come to gaming life. As we suspected, it does that.

(And we might just mean iPad-sized - we've been told it can rival Apple's 10 X 8-inch tablet for clout, but is even lighter.)

E3: Sony PS VITA

The main thing that attracted everyone attention though is the PSVita. It is formerly known as the NGP, next generation portable, but got its new name at the Sony Press Conference at E3. Vita means “Life and that is exactly what you feel like it will bring back to the Sony Playstationbrand.
The one thing that I really wanted on a handheld gaming device was dual analog sticks. I always liked first and 3rd-person shooters and wanted decent controls to play them. That time has finally come and one of my favorite game series, Uncharted is coming out with Uncharted: Golden Abyss is coming out as one of the launch titles. The Sony PSVita is slated to be released later this year with two different versions and price ranges. There will be the PSVita Wi-Fi for $249.99 and the PSVita Wi-Fi/3G for 299.99.

PlayStation Vita Release Will Result In 3DS Price Drop

The Wi-Fi version of PlayStation VITA will retail for $249.99, with a 3G edition for $299.99. Currently the 3DS system sells for $249.99 and sales are below the publisher's expectations. 3DS needs a price outs
One of Nintendo's biggest advantages, at least when it comes to portables, is a lower price than the competition. It's a huge reason why the original Game Boy beat Lynx, Turbo Express and Game Gear. The same can also be said of the DS versus PSP. Nintendo could always point to its hardware and tell consumers it was a better deal. With 3DS and Vita, both systems are equal in price.
Unless 3DS sales dramatically increase over the next several months, it's the best way for Nintendo to undercut Sony in what should be an interesting portable battle.
